CUTTING

Mica-Tron Products Corp. designed and built two custom, 10” radial arm, “wet saws”.  These allow us to precisely cut materials that require the use of full flood coolant and diamond wheels.

The first saw, built with a long stroke and a more robust radial arm, is for cutting larger sheets of material.  The extra rigidity is also beneficial for cutting very thick stock.  The second saw, though capable of using 10” blades, mainly uses 6” or 7” diameter diamond wheels. The use ofsmaller diameter blades in conjunction with theradial arm’s linear guideways, makes this saw ideal for precision cutting of smaller parts.

Mica-Tron also has fixturing which allows us to convert our surface grinders into precision slicing/dicing machines.
