SYNTACTIC FOAMS

High performance syntactic foams are primarily used as buoyancy materials for industrial, military, and scientific oceanographic applications.  They have also found uses in microwave applications, as structural components in antenna assemblies, and as thermal insulators in electronic devices.

Mica-Tron Products Corp. has the experience and equipment to machine high performance syntactic foams to very close tolerances (+/-.001") when required.  We have machined parts that range in size from small, one centimeter diameter buttons, to large, bonded block assemblies several cubic feet in volume.
